Arsenia Espolong, who sells pancake and juices, learned in the project how to be hygienic and sanitary in preparing and serving food. Also, she learned how to plan and cook nutritious food. She adds skim milk to her pancake and serves sweet potato tops juice instead of soft drinks. She also segregates her wastes.

DAVAO AFV

Before the project, hygiene and sanitation are the least concern of Soledad Decena and her husband in their street food business. Now, they are more conscious in cleanliness and orderliness at the same time cautious of the safety of the food that they serve to their customers. Aling Soledad is also one of those AFVs who avail of the new food cart.

Mabaga Stove

The fuel-saving and energy-efficient Mabaga stove is improved based on the comments and suggestions of the vendors-users. (Right) The new Mabaga stove has a sliding door at the bottom which controls the air flow and the flame or heat. It has sturdier stand at the bottom with a sticker on the upper left side of the stove.
