“The government had afforded loans amounting to nearly P120 billion to 58,694 small and medium-scale Filipino entrepreneurs between 2004 and 2007 under the SULONG Program alone, the loans had generated 1.8 million new jobs for poor and low-income workers during the same timeframe,” ayon kay Panganiban.

Napag-alaman kay Panganiban na ang SULONG loans ay makukuha sa pamamagitan ng SBC, the Development Bank of the Philippines (DBP), Land Bank of the Philippines (LBP), Quedan Rural Credit and Finance Corporation (QUEDANCOR), Philippine Export Import Credit Agency (PHILEXIM), National Livelihood Support Fund (NLSF) at Social Security System (SSS).
