THE MARCOS LEGACY
President and Dictator
Learn from it and omit the Errors

No matter what is said to tarnished his image no one can deny it
He was a true “Populist and Nationalist” the best in time.
His foresight for his people and for his country we are benefiting now
From the good things that he has done to the evils attributed to him.

Among his contribution to his country and people before his health failed him:

1. building the economy  by intensifying infrastructure
2. intensifying tax collection
3. unemployment shrank from 7.20% in 1966 to 5.2% in 1971
4. liberalized trade with the free world thru industrialization
5. made the country self-sufficient in food

Martial law and the new society brought the greatest changes we are benefiting now which will free the Filipino People from the shackles of our colonial past.

6. Bagong Lipunan (New Society) Movement for the poor
7. redistributing monopolies owned by foreigners to Filipino businessmen
8. privately owned idle lands were distributed to the farmers
9. we became self sufficient in rice in 1976 and became a rice exporter
10. created Kilusang Kabuhayan at Kaunlaran (Livelihood Projects)
11. economic growth increased from 7% from 1970-80
12. introduced the Balikbayan Program in 1973
13. created the OFW Program to provide jobs to unemployed Filipinos

It was very unfortunate that at the peak of his power to change our country
His health prevented him to continue and entrusted his programs to trusted men.
This people abused his trust “CRONYISM” became the excuse for abuse
All the good things that he planned where we are all benefiting now
What continued in all succeeding governments after up to this present time
Was growing rampant “GRAFT AND CORRUPTION” by all elected officials 

In the 1965 GARCIA VS MARCOS CAMPAIGN FOR PRESIDENT the call was
“ALIS DIYAN” – “NAKAKAHIYA” – “KAMI NAMAN”
Ito ang isinisigaw ng LAHAT NG PULITIKO ngayon sa buong bansa.
Panay lamang IMBESTIGATION SA BUNGANGA wala namang gawa
Liban sa ang iniisip sa puwesto ay kung papaano kikita sa Kotong
Niloloko ang taong bayan upang sila naman ang pumalit ng maging masagana!
